The study includes quantitative interview, in-depth discussions and consultations with vegetable growers, fertilizer suppliers, vegetable collectors, wholesalers and retailers.

Project Identification and Preparation of Livelihoods Enhancement and Association of the Poor: The project is to identify poor villages and poor and vulnerable households to be selected for specific intervention of Livelihoods Enhancement and Association of the Poor, which will be implemented in Siem Reap provinces and Phnom Penh.

Options to Support Diversification of Rural Economy in the Context of Industrialization in Cambodia:  The project is to develop project options for GIZ to design a project to support SMEs in rural economy in Cambodia.

​

Survey on Living Situation of Households in Prey Veng Province: The project is to conduct survey with households using diary on income, expenditure and loan to assess living conditions of households in 3 communes in Prey Veng province.

​

Study on Gendered Nature of Intra-household Decision-making in Cambodia: The project is to understand whether men or women has power to make a decision in Cambodian families with regards to expenditure of household, savings, children education and investment and how the decisions are made within the families.

​

Study on the Linkages between Growth, Employment and Poverty Reduction in Asian Countries: The project is to assess link between growth, employment and poverty reduction for the case of Cambodia as part of a global study by ILO and UNDP in Geneva.

​

Linkages between Trade, Development & Poverty Reduction: The project is to conduct research on linkage between trade and poverty reduction and conduct advocacy on sector and commodity of trade that would help improve the poor and vulnerable household livelihoods and standard of living.

 

Appraisal of DANIDA/DFID Natural Resources Management and Livelihoods Program in Cambodia 2006-2010: The project is to conduct external appraisal of the project document, formulated by Danida and DFID to support natural resource and livelihoods program 2026-2010 in Cambodia to see if the design is relevant and effective. In the appraisal,  conducted consultative meeting with MAFF, CDC, MEF, DANIDA, DFID and other donors working to support forestry, fisheries and land sectors in Cambodia to hear their views on impactful interventions in the sector.​​​​​​​​​

Study on Key Factors in Promoting Participation in PFM Reform Program: The project is to conduct a study to identify key factors in promoting participations from all ministries and agencies in Cambodia’ PFM reform program, which has implemented over 20 years and had entered another important phase of the reform—budget accountability. The study conducted interviews with senior management team and technical teams of PFM reform working group of Cambodian government, which has participations from all government ministries and agencies (40 ministries and agencies at the legislative and executive branches).

​

Support to Subnational Administration Investment Fund Project (SNIF): The project is to provide technical and administrative support to Project Director, Project Manager and Project Coordinator to implement the five-year project on investment fund to sub-national administration at Municipality/District/Khan, which provided financing to build road infrastructure in Municipalities and Districts throughout Cambodia. The project has a total budget of US$30.7 million for five year 2019-2024, which financed US$20 million by ADB and US$10.7 million by Cambodian government.

​

Develop the Project Implementation: Manual for Implementation of Project Master Plan to develop and transform Preah Sihanouk Province into a model multi-purpose special economic zone. The project is to develop Project Implementation Manual (PIM), which cover principles and procedures for operations, to implement a project “Master Plan to Develop and Transform Preah Sihanouk Province into a Model Multi-Purpose Special Economic Zone.

Public Expenditure Tracking Survey and Service Delivery in Education in Cambodia: The project is to conduct a study to trace flow of public budget in education sector from central level at Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education to provincial level and to school level to see if there is delay or leakages and how the budget flow impact of service deliveries by schools and student learning outcomes.

Cambodia Economic Watch: The project is to develop economic report two times per year in April and October to assess macroeconomic stability and price stabilities as well as progress of reform implementation that the Cambodian government committed with donor agencies in Consultative Group Meeting Annually between the Cambodian government and development partners.

Assessment of Nutrition, Poverty and Gender in Water Supply Project: The project is to conduct a survey to assess nutrition, poverty and gender situation in water supply sites of the World Bank water supply project implemented by Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI) to see if nutrition, poverty and gender interventions are improved or not yet improved and assess where are the gaps in the interventions. The survey collected data from 460 households in Prey Veng, Siem Reap, Kampong Chhnang, Battambang and Mondul Kiri water supply sites.

Survey on Mortality Risks from Water Pollution: The project is to conduct survey with 1,000 households in selected areas of Phnom Penh, Kandal and Kampong Speu provinces to assess mortality risks from water pollution and unclean water supply. The survey is intended to implement prevention program from mortality risks that could resulted from the water pollution and the unclean water supply.

Implementation of Component 2 Skills for Rural Youth, Sustainable Assets Agriculture Markets, Business and Trade Project: The project is to provide financing to public and private technical training institutions to train skills for rural youth for 6-12 months so they could take part in labor market as skilled workforce. The technical skills that are trained under the projects are 17 skills that were identified as high demand skills by training provider in 2020 remain valid. Those high demand skills include (1) Electricity (electrical installation and maintenance), (2) Mechanic and welding, (3) Automotive repairing, (4) Printing, (5) Hospitality in hotel (receptionist and housekeeping), (6) Agro-mechanics, (7) Computer and electronic devices repairing, (8) IT networks and installation, (9) Graphic design, (10) Video content creation and production , (11) Construction, (12) Refrigerator and air conditioning installation and repairing, (13) Using machines in light manufacturing (14) Piped water installation, (15) Barista, and (16) Culinary arts and (17) Beauty Salon and Barber. The Sustainable Assets Agriculture Markets, Business and Trade Project is a US$92 million project for 5 years, financed by IFAD and Cambodian government. Component 2 has a budget of US$15 million.

Development and Implementation of Skills Development Fund Pilot project:  The project is to develop and pilot procedures and operations—which include procedures and criteria for evaluating and awarding training proposals submitted jointly by training providers and industries—of Cambodia’s skills development fund before it is transformed into an institution from a project. The Skills Development Fund Pilot project is a US$5 million project financed by Cambodian government and US$9.5 million, financed by Asian Development Bank.

Develop Strategic Staffing and Financing Plan 2024-2028 for Skills Development Fund (SDF): The project is to develop staffing and financing plan 2024-2028 for Skills Development Fund (SDF) as part of loan condition of ADB and as part of an input for 5-year plan of Skills Development Fund.

​

Analysis on Demand and Supply of University Graduates in Cambodia: The study is to estimate demand and supply of university graduates in Cambodia to inform design of higher education improvement project, which is financed by the World Bank and Cambodian government.

​

Labor Market Survey for USAID-financed project Connecting the Mekong through Education and Training: The project is to conduct a survey on labor market with higher education training institutions and enterprises in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh on demand and supply of skilled labor to find gaps for project intervention of workforce.

​

Demand and Supply of Labor in STEM in Cambodia: The project is to conduct a study  to estimate demand and supply of Cambodia workforce related to STEM, using survey data from interviewing with private enterprises in Cambodia.

​

Study on Work-based Learning for USAID-financed project Connecting the Mekong through Education and Training in Cambodia: The study is to interview with firms, rectors of vocational training schools and universities, and students on their practices on work-based learning in Cambodia. The study conducted quantitative surveys with 40 firms and in-depth interview with 15 key informants (firms, universities, vocational training and students).

Baseline Survey for USAID-financed project Connecting the Mekong through Education and Training: The project is to conduct baseline survey in Cambodia for a regional project of USAID in Cambodia. The baseline survey cconducted quantitative surveys with 12 firms and in-depth interview with 15 key informants from firms, universities, and vocational training and focus group discussion with 5 student groups.

 

Job for the 21st Century: Workforce Assessment in Cambodia: The project is to conduct assessment on labor supply and labor demand to identify gaps for workforce development project interventions. The project conducted consultative Meeting with key government officials at Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Finance, Council for Development of Cambodia, World Bank, UN Agencies, and US Embassy to consult about labor supply and demand and challenges that the new workforce development project of USAID could address.

Survey on Garment and Footwear Industry: for Development of Cambodia Garment and Footwear Sector Development Strategy 2018-2025. The project is to conduct survey with garment, footwear and travel goods factories and international buyers to understand their operational challenges facing the industries and the result from the survey is used to develop Cambodia’s Garment, Footwear and Travel Goods Strategy 2022-2027.

SWOT Analysis of Cambodia’s Garment Industry: The project is to conduct research on SWOT of Cambodia’s garment industry and conducting interviews with General Managers of factories and international buyers of garments from Cambodia for designing a strategy for the industry.

Follow-up Survey on Living Situation of Workers in Garment and Footwear Industry in 2016:  The project is to conduct a follow-up survey on Living Situation of Workers in Garment and Footwear Industry, which was conducted in 2015. The survey interviewed 1,000 workers in 50 factories in Phnom Penh and Takmao, Kandal province.

Survey on Living Situation of Workers in Garment and Footwear Industry in 2015: The project is to conduct a survey on Living Situation of Workers in Garment and Footwear Industry to inform setting of Cambodia minimum wage. In the project, we conducted interview with 2,000 workers, 300 food sellers, 300 house renters, 300 transporters and 100 factory owners in Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Cham, Svay Rieng, Takeo and Preah Sihanouk provinces.

Human Development Impact Assessment of Post ATC: The project is to assess the human development impact of the closing of trade preferential in Apparel, Textile and Clothing Industry for Cambodia, using desk research and interview with stakeholders such as Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, Supreme National Economic Council, UNDP, GMAC and ILO.​​​​​​​

Survey on SMEs Participation in Economic Integration: The project study is to assess challenges and opportunities of SMEs in participating in regional economic integration. The study interviewed 200 SMEs located Iin Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Speu and Svay Rieng provinces.

Socio-Economic Profiling of Sub-national Administration (Province, District and Commune):  Socio-economic profiling is the process of gathering and analyzing data to create comprehensive profiles of regions, local governments, or communities. This approach supports informed decision-making and effective planning at the local level.

The profile includes key indicators to assess situation of women regarding early childhood development, quality and inclusive education, protective environment for children, and social inclusion and governance.

Study on the Linkages between Growth, Employment and Poverty Reduction in Asian Countries: The project is to assess link between growth, employment and poverty reduction for the case of Cambodia as part of a global study by ILO and UNDP in Geneva.

Linkages between Trade, Development & Poverty Reduction: The project is to conduct research on linkage between trade and poverty reduction and conduct advocacy on sector and commodity of trade that would help improve the poor and vulnerable household livelihoods and standard of living.
